Fillauer was founded in 1914 when George Fillauer Sr., a German immigrant, opened the Red Cross Pharmacy in Chattanooga, Tennessee; the business moved into orthotics and prosthetics in the late 1920s. Now headquartered in Chattanooga and a subsidiary of Hanger, Inc. since 2024, Fillauer manufactures a full range of upper- and lower-limb prosthetic products including the Utah Arm and the AllPro and MotionFoot feet.
