Freedom Innovations was founded in 2002 in Irvine, California. The company began by making carbon-fibre feet and introduced its first microprocessor knee, the Plié, in 2007. It develops advanced lower-limb prosthetics including the Plié 3 microprocessor knee and the Kinterra and Kinnex ankles. Freedom Innovations is now part of the PROTEOR group.
