Founded in 1971 by Icelandic prosthetist Össur Kristinsson, Össur is one of the world's largest prosthetics manufacturers. Kristinsson — himself a congenital below-knee amputee — invented the first silicone prosthetic liner (the Iceross). The company is now part of Embla Medical, listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen, and employs around 3,000 people across 25+ countries. Its prosthetics portfolio spans bionic and mechanical knees, feet, and upper-limb solutions, including the Rheo Knee, Power Knee, Pro-Flex feet, and the i-Limb hand range.

The combination of flexion through the foot and rotational movement through the shock absorber (despite the extra weight) makes it really comfortable on most surfaces. Also, the combination of a pin and vacuum system means it feels very secure at all times, while not being as hot as needing to wear a liner over the top to hold it on.
It makes walking really easy
