About this device

The Power Knee is Össur's active powered knee, using a motor to contribute positive mechanical work during walking. Uniquely among prosthetic knees, it actively drives the user up stairs step-over-step, lifts them out of chairs, and assists on inclines. Designed for transfemoral amputees who want reduced sound-side compensation and more natural energy-efficient movement.
