ABOUT LIMBMATCH
Please email info@limbmatch.com or visit our Contact Us page.
Choosing or changing a prosthetic device is a major decision, and reliable, user-led information has been hard to find. LimbMatch was built to put that information, especially the voices of device users, in one trustworthy place.
LimbMatch was founded by Nicole Brennan, a lifelong prosthetic user, with a team and advisory board spanning clinical and commercial expertise.
Browsing devices, reading reviews and submitting your own review is free for individuals. Manufacturers and clinics can join LimbMatch free for two months. After that, membership tiers apply.
Yes. LimbMatch is independent of any single manufacturer or clinic. Reviews come from real users, and manufacturers cannot pay to change or remove what is said about their devices. Independence is the point of the platform.
Three groups, mainly: people with limb differences and prosthetic users who want to research and review devices; clinicians who fit and prescribe them; and the manufacturers who make them. Family members, carers and newly referred patients are very welcome too.
LimbMatch is an independent platform for comparing prosthetic devices and reading honest reviews from the people who actually use them. It brings device information, real user experiences, and clinic listings together in one place, so that anyone navigating a prosthetics decision has somewhere trustworthy to start.
Use what you've learned to search devices, find a clinic, and make a decision built around you — not someone else's standard.
for clinics
Device descriptions are drawn from manufacturer information and public sources. User reviews reflect individual lived experience, not clinical assessment. LimbMatch is an information and comparison platform. It supports clinical decision-making, it does not replace it.
LimbMatch presents all clinic information and reviews and provides an enquiry function so users can contact your clinic directly. Those enquiries are passed on to you.
Device reviews on LimbMatch come from verified device users. Clinicians can access the platform's peer community, contribute to webinars, and use outcome data to inform their prescribing, but device reviews are always from the people who live with the devices day to day.
Yes, where a clinic has provided and confirmed that information itself. LimbMatch never estimates or guesses operational details. They come directly from the clinic.
Clinic information is submitted and confirmed through the clinic intake form. Operational details including waiting times, referral routes, opening hours and facilities are self-reported and confirmed by each clinic.
Yes. LimbMatch lists prosthetic clinics so that users can find services near them. Clinics can be listed through the clinic intake form, where you provide and confirm your own details. Listing options range from an individual clinician membership to full practice and enterprise tiers.

for users
Yes. Protecting your information matters to us, especially given the personal nature of what people share on LimbMatch. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, who it is and is not shared with, and the rights you have over your information.
Yes, LimbMatch lists prosthetic clinics. Our goal is to connect clinics with the devices they provide as the platform grows, making it easier to access your desired device.
Yes. The platform covers devices and information relevant to people whether they are being seen on the NHS, privately, through insurance, or via charity funding.
You are very welcome here. Start by browsing the device categories to get a feel for what exists and read reviews from users in situations similar to yours. You can also connect with others in the LimbMatch community who have been through similar experiences. Then take what you have learned into your appointment with your prosthetist.
Device costs vary by country, clinic and funding route. If a manufacturer chooses to publish a price we can facilitate that, but cost is usually part of a conversation further along the process.
No. LimbMatch gives you information and real user experiences so you can have a better-informed conversation with your clinician. It does not replace clinical advice, and the right device depends on your individual needs, which your prosthetist will assess.
Your first name, age band, gender and country will be shown alongside your review. If you prefer your review to appear under a username rather than your first name, you can indicate this on the review form. All other identifying information remains private and is never shown publicly.
Reviews are submitted through a structured form. Before publication, the LimbMatch team checks each review to confirm it comes from a genuine device user. Reviews that do not meet this standard are not published.
Reviews are for real users of a device, the people with genuine day-to-day experience of it.
You can submit a review through the review form on the site. You will be asked about your device, your experience with it, and ratings across areas like comfort, weight, functionality and fit.
Each device page shows reviews submitted by verified users. Reviews cover real-world experience including comfort, fit, functionality and durability, rather than marketing claims.
You can browse the device database and filter by the things that matter to you, for example whether it is an upper or lower limb device, the type of device, activity level, and price range. Each device has its own page with a description, images and any reviews left by other users.

for brands
Please reach out to us at info@limbmatch.com and we will get everything set up for you.
Device descriptions are written by LimbMatch from publicly available information and manufacturer materials, using original descriptions rather than copied text. Product imagery is displayed only once a manufacturer has claimed their profile and provided imagery. Claiming your profile lets you ensure your devices are represented accurately.
Paid manufacturer tiers unlock enhanced presence including fuller product galleries, enhanced imagery and structured device performance insight. What payment never does is change, remove or influence user reviews.
Manufacturers can claim their brand and device profiles on LimbMatch. Different membership tiers give you access to different platform features including managing your brand, receiving direct enquiries, accessing user feedback data, and responding to reviews.
Very possibly. LimbMatch's device database already covers a wide range of devices across many manufacturers, with descriptions written from publicly available information. You can check the database, and if your device is listed, you can claim its profile.

Reviews & Trust data
If you spot anything that needs correcting, please email info@limbmatch.com and we will address it as quickly as possible.
No. LimbMatch is an information and comparison platform. It helps you research and ask better questions, but decisions about your prosthetic care should always be made with your clinician.
LimbMatch provides manufacturers with aggregated, anonymised insight into how devices perform. It never sells or shares identifiable personal information, and a manufacturer can never see who wrote a particular review.
Protecting your information matters to us, especially given the personal nature of what people share on LimbMatch. Our Privacy Policy explains in full what data we collect, how we use it, who it is and is not shared with, and the rights you have over your information.
The reviewer's first name, age band, gender, country and the review itself are shown on the device page. Reviewers who prefer to appear under a username can indicate this on the review form. All other identifying information remains private.
A reviewer can update or withdraw their own review at any time. LimbMatch will only remove a review in limited circumstances, such as abusive language, identifying information about a third party, or a clear breach of the review guidelines, and never because a manufacturer asked.
Reviews are submitted through a structured form and checked by the LimbMatch team to confirm they come from genuine device users before they are published, so what you read reflects real experience, not manufacturer marketing.
